The Belle and the Beau Blog bio picture
  • A little about me….

I am married to my sweet husband of 13 years and we have 3 beautiful crazy children (Hannah Lynn 9, Lily Ann 7, and Andrew Micah 4). I love Jesus and I am so thankful for His grace in my life. My glass is always "half full" not "half empty." You will find a Starbucks cup on my desk almost daily- I justify that it is to keep me going when burning the midnight oil:) I am a girl who loves pretty things and I'm inspired by color, fabric, design, photography, and handmade. I love to sew and my glue gun and iron are always hot. I can't not is a passion! I am an Athletic Trainer (Sports Medicine) by trade. I love sports and I love medicine. I played basketball through college and always wanted to enter the medical field, so sports medicine was a natural fit. You would never think that I grew up with a love for art and crafting, but that has always been there too...thank you grandma and my sweet mom (aka- my head seamstress).

I absolutely LOVE what I do this little business (along side my hubby)! You can read our love story below:) This blog is mostly dedicated to my amazing clients and their love stories....I am a hopeless romantic! You will also find some of my favorite things as well as a bit about my everyday crazy life with my 2 belles, 2 beaus, and this business!

    Amy XO

We want to share with you a lovely little wedding we did a few years back for Amy & Jacob. Jacob and the little guy are wearing our 2012/2013 gray yellow plaid necktie and bow tie.

Amy shared with us a bit of their love story:

“I had been divorced for three years after being married for six years
and we had adopted a beautiful boy together. Who is now 5.

I spent a lot of time as a mom and dealing with some strange dating
situations!!  I played volleyball every night that I didn’t have my
son or could get someone to be at my apartment while he slept. It has
always been a passion and stress reliever for me! I met Jacob playing
volleyball and we chatted a bit. I enjoyed his company so I asked him
if I could have his number. I don’t like waiting around for men to
make the move, never have!! He handed it over freely!!! We began
talking on a Thursday and I got tired of waiting ( I know I’m so
patient) so I asked if he wanted to go out to dinner on Monday night
with me, my treat! There is so much more to the story. But I won’t
bore you with all the details.

Suffice it to say….. He stole my heart after believing I could never
have true happiness. We were married on July 10, 2012 after dating for
about 13 months or so. We had a beautiful ceremony and a gorgeous
reception!! My little boy got to be there and loves jacob so much!!
They loved each other soon after meeting!! Our day was crazy special
for us both!! I am so grateful to have found such an incredible man to
take on a divorced women with a little boy. And thank God everyday
that I found him!!

Everything at my reception was hand made by me, friends, or family it was a lot of hard work but turned out exactly how I imagined it!” Amy

J.T. & Heidi have known each other since they were 16. Love didn’t come right away but after senior prom they became inseparable and continued to date through college. Once J.T. proposed, they started planning their beautiful wedding!

“I spent the next 14 months planning our wedding. It was very important to me that I planned the wedding and added lots of handmade touches to it. My mom made all of the bridesmaid’s dresses, table runners, and bows. My dad made the corn hole game. I painted special touches on everything. We had a lot of fun planning the wedding but it was lots of work! I love how everything turned out. We had perfect weather for our outdoor ceremony. It was definitely the best day of our life!” -Heidi Geren

J.T. is wearing our turquoise stripe seersucker bow tie. We made his groomsmen custom turquoise neckties to match!
